A Strong Condition Play

In the 9th race at HAW on 11/19, I thought that Kitty's Mission was an A One condition play. A solidly forging horse with successive tops of 16-, 15-, 14- and most recently a 13+ had six weeks from her last forward move and an "excuse" (13 days rest off the top) off effort to boost up the odds. Her line is also noteworthy that the only other poor efforts for her last seven months of racing was also somewhat excusable on yielding grass (and was immediately followed by a top. It's rare to get such a strong line with nice timing and great odds considering that the competition was no more than mediocre at best.
