GP TIMES WERE NEVER IN DOUBT
TO THE SHEETS
Sheet users may have seen articles in the Daily Racing Form recently,
detailing how our observer in Florida, Toby Callett, is helping Gulfstream Park correct
many bad times of races at the beginning of the current meet.
Since we use our own observer's clocking for all the races, we were always aware of the
mistimes. While other figure makers responded by demanding that the track go back and fix
the times that they had relied on and used, we were happy to keep the information to
ourselves to give Sheet users (including ourselves) the best edge possible.
However, when others pointed out the problem to Gulfstream Park and they asked for our aid
(via Toby), we thought it only courteous to let him help out and make correcting their
times (which they were going to do from the tapes in any case) an easier task.
